Worker accommodation complex, Oxford

TCi furniture WORKS collaborated with Hill Partnership and the client to specify and install furniture across the 78 apartments.

Ivy Lane is a collection of 6 new 3 and 5 storey apartment buildings consisting of 78 apartments to facilitate a minimum of 340 key workers at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK.

TCi engaged with Hill Partnerships to provide a scheme of quality, standard and bespoke furniture products, manufactured specifically to the requirements and aesthetic vision of the client, enhancing the overall living experience for the residents to create a comfortable and modern space.

The selected furniture scheme incorporated soft seating and sofas, coffee tables, task chairs, dining tables and chairs. This was complemented by individual suites of custom, UK-manufactured beds, bedside cabinets and bedroom drawer units. A total of 239 beds have been installed during the current phase, along with 216 hand-made desks, 497 bedside cabinets and 805 chairs across the complex.

The project benefitted from TCi’s wealth of experience in providing professional installation on live construction sites, with qualified supervision and fully compliant logistics services. TCi worked closely with Hill Partnerships and collaborated with key stakeholders over a 6 month, design, manufacture and installation period, enabling phased handover and occupation.

TCi’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence throughout the project resulted in a smooth delivery that was on budget and achieved handover on time.
