The first large scale, major TCi furniture installation at EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C started today
550 workstations and welfare for over 2,500 operatives will be delivered and installed by TCi over the next 4 weeks.
This is just one of several phases of furniture installation due in the coming months, as part of the multi-million pound contract to supply FF&E to what is set to become one of Europe’s largest construction sites.
TCi became a tier 1 contractor to EDF Energy’s Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build (NNB) development in 2016, promoting local investment from the project. So far, the contract has enabled the employment of dedicated staff from throughout the region, alongside the use of local manufacturers, suppliers and services wherever possible. The positive effect of this landmark nuclear development on the local economy cannot be underestimated as contractors throughout the South West become involved. .
TCi is looking forward to completing many more phases along with a number of out-of-scope construction and FF&E projects that have been awarded, in addition to the initial contract.
