Sizewell C ACA Canteen ‘New Café’
Seamless switch to new, bistro-style cafe furniture for Sizewell C's ACA canteen.
This project was conducted out of hours to limit disruption to an in-use area with heavy footfall. The furniture installation team readied the front half of the ground floor canteen by stripping out the existing canteen furniture on the Friday evening. They then worked through the weekend to install the new ‘ACA Cafe’ for a full unveiling the following Monday morning.
The install consisted of 12 tables with stylish black Y frame legs and modern black and teal seating for 50, two high poseur tables with stool seating for 6 including integrated power modules, and a teal modular sofa unit with coffee table. Compartment grid storage units complete with planters were also installed to act as a visual divider to separate the new cafe space from the remaining canteen area, with black frames to compliment the black and teal colour scheme.
The new look cafe was warmly received by all. The Catering Delivery Lead said it “looks amazing”, and the Facilities Management Lead commented; “HUGE thank you to your and your teams for the amazing job at the ACA canteen! Great work loads of positive feedback already” service users also paid compliments through the SZC observation system.
