Bouygues UK embraces sustainability with ECO360®

for its Cavendish III Physics Laboratory construction site for the University of Cambridge

Bouygues UK engaged TCi furniture WORKS to deliver and install FF&E to the upper floor of the 26 bay site accommodation office at their Cavendish III physics laboratory construction site

The new Cavendish III physics laboratory will be a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility for the University of Cambridge, to house its world-leading physics research groups under one roof

With an emphasis on sustainability, the opportunity to choose a fully recyclable desk was seized by the innovation-led contractor.

The upper floor features 47 fully recyclable ECO360® cardboard desks with lockable steel pedestals and mesh-backed chairs, complemented by traditional radial desks and storage cupboards. The scheme accommodates a sizeable workforce.

The desks have been fully branded with the company logo applied to the desktop and panel-end legs, creating a completely customised, corporate workspace.

The project is due to complete in 2022, delivering a world-class physics research facility for the UK
