Design & Specification
The Wharves is a smartly-appointed and prestigious development site that demands a matching level of office and welfare facilities. An impressive 46 bay modular main building is accompanied by a smaller (6 bay) security office, both provided by Premier Modular Ltd (formerly WACO). Changing room, locker and canteen facilities for more than 1000 site workers were laid out on the ground floor, with full consideration for space, access and emergency routes.
The first floor main office was planned with spacious meeting rooms, large desk areas and practical, aesthetically pleasing welfare facilities.
White bench desking with integrated cable management and scalloped porting, mesh-backed operator chairs and white monitor arms give a sense of space, with storage tambours available at the end of each bank, topped with bespoke shelving units. A combination locker system for personal belongings provides a gentle partition between breakout and working areas. The breakfast bar and high-stool arrangement provides a contemporary space beside the staff kitchenette, whilst there is a more informal area opposite.
Large, modular boardroom tables in various configurations occupy 5 generous meeting rooms, surrounded by comfortable, mesh-backed cantilever chairs in black and chrome.
In the ground floor canteen area, the light and spacious theme continues with 52 white corner-leg tables and 276 skid-frame ergonomic composite seats, in alternating green and blue to reflect the Lendlease corporate colourscheme. Two custom-built, white pigeon-hole units complete the layout.
Installation
Delivery and installation was coordinated by qualified TCi site manager, Shaun Wilson (SSSTS) and was completed in 5 days.

TCi furniture WORKS successfully completed and handed over a quality furniture scheme, with high-end features and client-specific details, reflecting corporate colours and bespoke requirements.
TCi is delighted to have been invited to install furniture on this project which is set to make a huge impact on the regeneration of Deptford and North Lewisham.
