Sit/Stand Desks at Barber’s Farmhouse Cheesemakers

The Barber family started making cheese on their Somerset farm in 1833 and are now the oldest surviving cheddar-makers in the world.

TCi furniture WORKS was commissioned to design and supply a comprehensive furniture layout as part of an exciting new office complex at the farm.

  • 44 sit/stand workstations
  • 30x 4 drawer filing cabinets
  • 10 person meeting facility

Complementing the sympathetic new build, in keeping with the surrounding farm buildings, a selection of large radial desks in anthracite, with matching three-drawer pedestals was specified. Corresponding breakout tables in anthracite complete the spacious, open plan office spaces with mesh-backed task and meeting-room chairs.

Sit/Stand: The desks feature a motorised sit-stand height adjustment, offering the very best in operator comfort. Tall, floor standing, fabric screens with a white, powder-coated trim allow the desktops to glide easily up and down.

Modular tables in white give the large board room flexibility as a meeting space and mesh-backed chairs
offer comfort in all seasons.

The scheme was delivered and installed over three days, whilst the building was finished, ready for
occupation.

TCi has been engaged by the client to install further furniture.
