Practical style for major London development

TCi worked closely with Hill Partnership and their client to specify a vibrant and attractive furniture scheme.

The Extra Care and Community Centre forms part of the first phase of redevelopment on the Aylesbury Estate, managed by Southwark Council.

TCi was approached early in the build programme to propose and supply a range of standard and bespoke furniture products to suit the welcoming and modern surroundings.

A lengthy process of planning and sampling followed the constantly developing interior design plans to result in a carefully matched layout. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including the developer, occupational therapists and incoming centre staff, TCi worked side-by-side with the client for nearly 12 months to deliver a high quality and cost-effective outcome for everyone.

“it was a process with many revisions to ensure the client’s needs were met.”

Shaun Hastings, TCi Project Lead

Furniture layouts across the 5-floor project included;

  • Lounge areas
  • Dining room / cafeteria zones
  • Community centre – desks and meeting rooms
  • Outdoor seating
  • Staff bedroom

“Shaun’s knowledge and dedication to meet the needs of a demanding Client whilst keeping within the confines of our commercial budgets was greatly appreciated – I would certainly recommend and use TCi again in the future. The photos speak for themselves and the end users will be able to use these spaces for leisure and relaxation for years to come!”
