Ultra-modern WORKHUB for Braunton Parish Council facility

As part of a £19,382 investment from Devon County Council, TCi won a competitive tender to furnish Braunton Community Work Hub.

Situated on the edge of North Devon’s surfing coast, Braunton is one of the most populated villages in the county. The provision of a commercial work-space with a combination of long-term and daily/weekly let facilities will enable small start-up businesses to benefit from some of the facilities that are only available to larger companies.

As the facility is shared with Devon & Cornwall Police, efficient space-planning and multi-functional furniture was extremely important. TCi worked with the council to create an effective scheme that would enable the building to reach its potential.

“TCi  was awarded the contract to furnish the Braunton Community Work Hub due to their modern approach to office furniture that fits well with the vibrant interiors of the Work Hub, providing a fresh and inspiring co-working space”  Tracey Lovell, Clerk to Braunton Parish Council

In the open-plan “hot desk” area, 2 straight sit-stand desks were supplied, alongside 4 traditional radial desks to complete a flexible layout, allowing for storage and printing facilities. Electric, height-adjustable, sit-stand desks introduce modern working practices with a focus on well-being.

Four further self-contained offices were furnished with straight desks and ergonomic task chairs with space for one or two people.

A flexible breakout-come-dining area with small kitchenette can be used for collaborative working. Contemporary looking and ergonomic seating makes the area comfortable, but uncluttered and easy to maintain.

TCi arranged for bespoke units to meet the client’s specification, including two-tone desk and pedestal finishes, a colour-matched cupboard in the kitchenette.
